Year 6- Houses of Parliament Visit

Today, Year 6 visited the Houses of Parliament as part of our Citizenship focus weeks. Throughout our educational visit, we got to experience all the events that take place in the Houses of Parliament as well as visit the historic ‘House of Lords’ and ‘House of Commons.’

During our trip, some of us were lucky enough to meet with the Speaker of the House of Commons- Lindsay Hoyle. We also had a workshop that allowed us to experience how MP’s and Parties are elected into their constituencies as well as the importance of voting.
