West Ham Park WW2 Workshop
Blitz Detectives! We visited West Ham Park and discovered how the East End of London was affected during WW2. This had a huge impact on people's lives, evacuees left their families behind and were sent to the countryside, people had to ration their food supply and many houses and buildings were destroyed.
The some of the effects of the war were still visible in West Ham Park, these included the allotments where people had to grow their food and the locations of the 24 bombs that landed in the park.
