Ragged school
Year 5 enjoyed an Educational Visit to the Ragged School. It was so much fun to experience what school was like in the Victorian times. We explored different artifacts and how they lived.
We couldn't believe that 7 people had to share on bed and they only made 2p making hair brushes. We had a live lesson with a “Victorian” teacher who taught us how they learned to do handwriting, mental arithmetic and other subjects. We had to stand up and greet the teacher and the boys and girls even had to sit separately. It was great to learn more about the topic we had been learning about and share everything we knew.
